Colette already knows your business from your Foundation, but she's sifting through a lot of detail. She still needs to know what you want to focus on.
One job per conversation
Start each conversation with a brief that says:
What you're making.
Who it's for.
The outcome you want.
What material is useful.
If you're not clear, ask her to brainstorm the strongest angle.
Share relevant detail, not everything
More isn't more with AI, and too much information can confuse it. A specific client story, a real opinion or a well-chosen excerpt can be more useful than several long documents. Keep the details that matter: what happened, what someone said, what you noticed and why it matters.
Agree the direction before a big draft
For substantial work, settle the angle first, then ask for the draft. If the whole direction is wrong, say so rather than polishing a draft that doesn't fit.
Give specific feedback
Say what feels wrong and what you want instead. Specific feedback works far better than asking for something better. For example:
"This assumes she is a beginner; she already has an established business."
"Keep the argument, but use the client example I gave you."
"The opening sounds like I'm an accountant. Make it more conversational."
